Does anyone know how much of Omnicom policy will be mandated vs. where formerly IPG agencies will still have flexibility, and when we’re likely to get clarity on this?

Hope for the best, but expect the worst. That said, everyone I’ve spoken to says adhere to IPG previous policies until explicitly told otherwise.

I think the fact that IPG no longer has that week-long Holiday break tells you which direction the policy is headed.

Assume that everything will be mandated and strictly enforced. Why would legacy IPG people get a pass when OHG folks do not. I mean this gently and kindly but it’s a naive take to think that there will be separate rules or any flexibility.

The end goal here is to get as many people to quit with these draconian policies and awful benefits so that they don’t have to pay out severance. There will be no clarity and this is all by design.

But there is some flexibility within the OHG world. Some people are still fully remote, and I know. Biolumina is only in office 2 days a week and their editorial staff don’t have to go in at all.

Yep. Editorial is fully remote so I’m safe for now. And they currently don’t have enough space so they go in the office twice instead of three times a week. But that probably won’t last forever.

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using.
