Ours was 9 months for a 3850 sq ft home on dunes. That probably added a few weeks as pilings takes longer than a concrete foundation. You could see delays for certain items like the windows/doors and even appliances if you’re looking for something specific. We ordered appliances a year in advance and there were still some that weren’t available and we had to make different selections in order to move in.

If you’re in an area that experiences winter, expect a month or two delay due to stoppages from the weather. So I’d plan on 6 to 8 months.
D1, We are expecting concrete to go in either end of next week or the following week and were wondering how long after can we expect to finish the build. We’re in Dallas and are expecting a “wetter winter” with higher rain expected per the El Niño weather reporting. The builder has said ~5 months but we’re not taking it at face value.
Agree on the 6-8 months. Basically, look at the time estimate from your contractor and double it.
