Literally going through this right now... Sterling seem pretty useless when it comes to international checks.
It shouldn’t be an issue. My McK background check recently cleared, and I was in a similar situation where Sterling couldn’t reach my former employer to verify my employment status. I provided pay stubs instead so Sterling marked the report “Consider” based on that, but McK quickly reviewed the documents and determined that everything was square.

No, HR will reach out and provide you different ways to verify. Additionally sometimes they won’t care if it’s not too relevant in their eyes

Yeah I had a job where I said I was a chemical engineer and HR just reported me as an engineer and it was flagged as consider. It’s nerve wracking as all get out but I promise you’re likely just fine.
is it ok to omit short term work experience?
When it says pending — does that count as a consider?
