Does anyone struggle with just jumping in and starting to write or building a slide? It’s not a lack of motivation for me but feel like I need to get reassurance all the time that I’m thinking about stuff right. Maybe it’s because I’m still confused about what is happening within my project.

So I work as an assistant manager at a restaurant for the past 9 months. I've worked in restaurants for the past 6 years science I was 16. Now I'm 22. I went to a trade school for media and film. I got a dream opportunity to work in the field making about the same or 10% more. I told myself the only reason I'd leave this company is for this type of job. Should I take the chance at this job and leave the restaurant that is on the rise and growing?

How does sleep affect your medications effectiveness? Do you feel like you need X hours of sleep for your adderall/vyvanse etc. to work properly?

First-gen and new hire in my first job. Vyvanse was typically covered under my parents’ insurance but now I’m looking to sign up for (my first) health insurance plan with my employer. I’m worried if Vyvanse will be fully covered or not. Anything I should look out for?

Not currently seeing a therapist or medicated, managing based on strategies I learned from an ADHD coach back in college, so at minimum I would need to find a provider, which has been a barrier (cost-wise, finding someone with experience with ADHD, etc.)

We’ve had org issues - no clear role descriptions or expectations. Yes I do have a hard time staying engaged (and I’m medicated - Vyvance in the am, dextroamphetamine at noon). Thoughts?

Moving from Concerta XL to Vyvanse this week - any tips/ things to look out for/ experiences?

What are your tricks for getting started at the beginning of the work day once you’re on site? I have the hardest time getting my brain engaged to begin working, often wasting huge chunks of time.

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)

So I KNOW I have ADD maybe ADHD...my parents told me just recently I was diagnosed in third grade but they didn’t want to give me medicine but I struggle a lot with paying attention or remembering...

Having massive issues getting anything done at work the past couple of weeks. I start so many tasks and end with a bunch of half written emails that I got distracted while writing and never came back to (as an example) by the end of the day. I really need to get some work done, I’m starting to feel guilty. Anyone have any non-medication related tips to get me to the holidays??

Anyone any advice how / where to get tested for ADHD in NYC? I received a lengthy list of providers from my health insurance (UHC) but either can’t reach anyone or they tell me they only do therapy and no testing.
