My spouse and I are applying for a new mortgage and my lender looked up our credit scores and suggested that the mortgage is done only for me and not include my spouse as my score was in the top bracket. She is earning as well and i wanted to understand the risk of taking mortgage only on me:
1 - will we end up having issues filing for taxes jointly and show deductions etc?
2 - will there be issues with joint ownership (title) if the mortgage does not include us both?

Recruiter emails me, I respond w my interest. A week later, I get a text at 5AM today (Sunday morning) from a 2nd recruiter asking to talk between 7:30-9AM today. Seems ridiculous .. Is this normal?

I’m really discouraged. My after tax / after 401k contributions etc. take home pay is $6,500 monthly. I have $60,000 in savings / stocks for a down payment but even looking at a $550,000 home, my monthly payment would be about $3,400 from the calculators I’ve been using. Is that too high?

Solo designer in a consulting firm of around 50ppl . My +1 is a head of departement that is not linked to design.
