Context: I applied for a position a while back and got interviewed, but didn’t go to the next round. I found the same position open again a month later at a different location and applied. Almost immediately, I was called for an interview, but with the same interviewer. What does this mean? Is this going to get awkward?

Working as CAL Manager with Accenture S&C India. Offered ~GBP 76.5K (fixed plus flexi) at Manager Grade by Deloitte London.

Prior to Accenture, I have already served as S&O Manager with Deloitte India for ~1.5 yrs - so this would be my second stint with Deloitte as Manager "again".

2 questions:
1. Should I ask for Senior Mgr (AD) grade - to which they have already said NO
2. Is GBP 76.5K sitting at the lower end of M grade in Deloitte UK? What should be a good expectation for the role

£50k TC, 2.6YoE working within the change arm of a bank ——- what do experienced fishes think is a good next move for someone like myself? Might want to move into consulting one day with ultimate aim of MBB but also enjoy technical coding work, particularly in credit risk / counterparty credit risk in banking — could use some fresh perspective ; quite confused atm as interested in many things! Would you take a £10k pay rise to move to industry in a global role if it meant no promotion prospects and working with no team mates?

Is it a good idea to invest in your UK pension fund over the max your employer will contribute/match? This may potentially lower income tax but then one can't really access the pension pot till retirement. Or is it better to invest post-tax income into a stocks and shares ISA to avoid capital gains tax? TIA!

Folks making more than £100K: How do you deal with the 60% effective tax rate on the 100-125K bracket? (HMRC gradually reduces your £12,750 personal tax-free allowance to £0.)

This is the first time it is happening to me. With one month to go until the end of the tax year, I'm thinking of making a one-off extra pension contribution next payroll.
