My future employer uses Fidelity for 401k and my current employer uses vangaurd. What are my options to consolidate 401k account. I prefer Vangaurd and wish I could stick to it. I also have Roth IRA account and brokerage account with Vangaurd too. What will happen to my Roth IRA as my adjusted gross income will be more than the limit set for Roth IRA. Can I still keep the account for 2021 or I need to close it ?
Desperately need some motivation to stop order taking. If I'm lucky, I'm barely gonna hit 100% this Q. I get a ton of leads and feel like I just need to give them what they want and go to the next. But in reality i do non work related shit for at least 1-2 hours per day. When I WFH, I normally wake up 5 mins before meetings. There's enough time but I'm burnt out having not taken vacation in 6+ years. I can't vacation now. I need to crush numbers and hopefully take some time off in January. HELP
Hi guys, I am a technical architect with more than 13 yoe in infosys. This is posted from a friends profile as i am not able to access my account. My current CTC is 16.I have an offer from a start up for 36lpa. Given the current market craze, I am wondering what to ask ITC infotech during my upcoming HR discussion. Heard even though the offer is for bangalore location, ITC is allowing WFH. Please suggest. Thanks, Siddhartha
Thoughts on remote employees? What trends are you guys seeing? Are there specific agencies or companies that are moving to this structure, or at least open to the idea?
If a firm sent you free tech for WFH (monitors, docking station, keyboard, and mouse), are you obligated to return it once you leave? Obviously will return the laptop, but was wondering if it’s normal/expected to keep everything else. Insights appreciated! (Relatedly: laterals, do your new firms send you stuff or give you a stipend for your home office? Assuming at least partial remote for now)
Fellow Fishes, currently I'm serving NP and my current firm just offered permanent wfh to me. I have an offer from the Big4 and I'm pretty sure my current firm would match that offer and retain me. What should I do? I never considered the permanent wfh variable in my decision and now it has changed everything.
I currently max out my 401k, HSA, and Roth IRA. I also invest in stock and crypto. With the latter doing so well, does it make sense to reduce my 401k contributions by a few % to capitalize more on those investments? 26yo
Anyone have experience with Navvis healthcare?
What’s the best company that provides education benefits for part time masters program, emphasis on part time? Accenture has ZERO. Deloitte had $10k/year.
Share your WFH view this morning!
WFH - Are you getting more exercise or less? I know it’s hard with gyms being closed, but with YouTubeTV, running virtual workouts there are a lot of options.
Has anyone heard about additional increases to the crisis care? ACN increased us to 160 hours for the year but that’s not nearly enough to cover all the WFH without daycare currently...
I've been temping all pandemic for a school district as an HR specialist, how can I get out of education & make this work in HR? My degree a decade back was Psychology and I've been in non-profits and upper academia since. DFW all around clerical looking for a FT with decent benefits and pay.
Hi fish fam. Outside of 401k/IRA/Roth/Trading/Real Estate, are there are any investment options that yield a ~7-10% annual return? Looking to make more than the 2% banks/fixed deposits give. Thanks!
I have yet to see a dividend from my 401k holding in Vanguard Institutional Total Bond Market Index Trust… Been in it since October ‘19.
Are there any good ways to make money outside of a typical career job? I’ve tried audit and currently in advisory. The job just makes me depressed, and I’m thinking the accounting space just isn’t for me. My husband works, so I don’t have to worry with medical benefits etc if I quit. We don’t have kids yet so I need something to keep me busy, and I would like to still have an income and make decent money. Any ideas?
Hi all! How does my portfolio (25 years old) look? Out of my total net worth: 35% in 401K (invested in target retirement fund with employer matching), 10% in Roth IRA, and the remaining 55% in brokerage account (44% SP500, 4% on bonds, 6% in capital and income, 1% in international stocks). Thank you!
I’m moving to a lower COL city in a few weeks and will have an additional $500 in my pocket each month. What should I do with it? I already max out my 401K contribution...
My ex wife was ranting about the latest season of American Horror Story and I jokingly said something and she responded by stating, as a matter of fact, that Eisenhower negotiated a treaty with Aliens so that in exchange for 5,000 citizens each year, we get peace with Aliens. She’s also anti-vax despite having been hospitalized for 4 days with COVID. I’m speaking to a lawyer this week, but am I unreasonable to think this thinking and behavior is grounds to modify our custody agreement?
What is the general opinion on increasing salary: is it easier to do from within or jumping to another firm?
If the flight you are on hasn't started deplaning when boarding is scheduled to start, can you still be on-time?
Looking for an agency recommendation. Someone who specializes in CPG, preferable experience new CPG product. Experience with direct to consumer a bonus but need them adept across marketing strategies.
MBA advice... how much does it matter what school you go to? Do you think going to a top school is vital? Or should I consider going to my local state school in the current city I live while working?
Would anyone buy a restaurant? There's a decent restaurant near where I live selling for what appears to be a pretty low price (assuming due to COVID). I'm really tempted to give it a go, and I have the finances to "weather the storm" until vaccines are out. I would of course go over their books before moving forward, just curious if anyone's had a positive experience?
If we're in healthcare consulting but currently working remotely, do we qualify to get the vaccine early?
To all the 🐠 who serve/d our country and their families - thank you for this holiday weekend. 🇺🇸
Anybody did the apics certification in logistics ? I have the choose between the cslp and cscp but not sure which one I should be doing

We are here to guide clients: but this is not always the case when your client believes they are the target audience for their product. How do you convince them that they are not and trust the agency?

Looking book Disney hotel with bonvoy points. Any thoughts on Swan vs ritz Carlton vs. JW? Pros and cons of being on ‘property’ vs. a nicer hotel close by?
Are tucks MBB numbers really that good? I saw a student on Reddit say about 35 mbb internships were granted in their year out of about 150 applicants (70-90 interviews per firm). Not sure what to make of this. Additionally, is it true that the battle is to get interviews and once you get one, then it’s just a matter of you performing (I.e., you’re no longer competing against classmates)?
Looking at a job posting and it requires 1550 billable hours for a litigation paralegal position. Can anyone give me a rough estimate as to how many work hours that will likely translate to per week? (My current job does not use billable hours)
So American Airlines is totally on my shit list. Checking in with a regular Tumi Alpha 2 and they told me that it somehow is too big! Mind you, it's been traveling 3-5 times a week with me...
Got a screener with a recruiting person. What are some of the differences in the approach to the interview as opposed to having a screener with an attorney? Do I basically treat the interview the same way? Are there any specific questions that I should ask in this type of interview? Any input and anecdotes are appreciated!
Working with Deloitte as a C in ATL area and up for promotion this year. Currently stacked at 105 and getting an offer from Publicis.sapient at 140 in Orange County . Worth jumping the ship ?
