Supposedly
It’s 💯 slower than a consulting partner firm imo
Ideally, yes but practically, not so easy. In my experience, managers tend to block internal transfers from CSG and don't care about the growth of their reportees. I was in CSG (Industries) and when I brought up the topic, my manager said I'll have to wait for at least 18 months before we could even have the convo. Couldn't wait for so long so left the company. CSG management tend to be a little toxic making you question all the 'best places to work for' nonsense.
Hmmm, if that’s the case, that’s kind of shitty. I can understand they might not want you to leave if you’re staffed, etc. but I feel like it makes it easy for them to stiff arm you
Be careful. There is really no movement. Everyone wants to do what you are trying to do. Plus no promotions happening. Company is hurting.

Just FYI, a lot of people want to get into product management, and most people I know that made the move had really really strong academic backgrounds too.
You also need to be in your current role for one year before you move internally
Hiring freeze right now but there is a chance
I meant getting a role in product will be challenging with the hiring freeze
The freeze isn’t affecting most of CSG. Just got offer this week
Csg has exceptions but is generally hiring slower / specific positions. Promo cycle is on hold
What role? I have seen some technical/program architects shift to product over the years. It is possible, but not easy. CSG also has had various versions of ‘product’ teams that create the CSG products and interface with the product team. This is sometimes I step in that direction as well. You should not expect a quick transition though, everybody I know that did it were long time employees and were pretty ‘proven’ as far as salesforce knowledge and expertise.
I think the path is a lot easier from SE. I’ve seen many SEs make the jump and not that many from CSG.
I've seen quite a few move around but within the same country group. Relocation in the same or different group in another country I would say is rare, and can only recall seeing this at senior level from Canada to USA.
