Yes. Mid-levels still have some doc review, at least in terms of managing juniors or contract reviewers and doing some of the second-level review, but you become crucial for filtering the right stuff up to your seniors and helping craft the issues, workplans, etc. based off that. You will also start to prepare and lead the interviews, make and give the client presentations, etc.
Yes. That’s usually just one phase of a matter too and if you stay long enough you’ll see how that response comes to a head with interviews/presentation/etc. Also, most mid levels and seniors miss in a way the “easy” billables of doc review. But doc review shouldn’t be your whole day and if it is try to get on some litigation matters as well to keep those other skills fresh.
