I’m a 7th year associate. I’ve practiced L&E my entire career in big law for large multi-national companies. I like my job, but I’m burned out. I have two kids under two and will, in all likelihood, go for gold and make it three under three to be done. I’m over traveling. I’m over traveling for trials. I’m over litigation in general. I want to switch sides of the v and open my own firm. I’m digging into how feasible this would be for me. Does anyone have any good resources? Books, podcasts, etc

I’m a part-time MBA student at a top 25 program and have 13 years of work experience, mostly in government contracting, with a few deviations from the industry. About month ago I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD) and had to go through cardiac catheterization to get a stent.

I’ve got a partnership w/ two of my uncles. We have two houses on rent. we use the profit from the homes as a single pot where we pay for the maintenance expenses (different cash flow from each). We are close family and they trust my judgement. Another of my uncles wants to join for the next home we buy. How do we split/ allow their buy in to our partnership for the next home? Anyone have any good advice for getting students to think/respond on their own? So many times when I ask them to write their own thoughts about something and to explain why they hold that opinion, many students get stuck and/or turn to the Internet. And then I find myself repeating, I’m asking for YOUR thoughts about this, not someone else’s. I teach grades 9 & 11.

Regular Ed teachers may have students (mild Learning Disabled kiddos) in their room while teaching. I work at a medical device manufacturing plant as a training coordinator, I have a military background and a degree and am trying to advance but am feeling stuck. I am a literal jack of all trades, and am trying to get out of the hourly life, I’m working an average of 100 hour weeks and have been for at least the last 6 months.

Interested in joining the Reserves, but I’m guessing that’s way too much with a consulting career? No ROTC or previous military experience so I’d have to go through OCS/OTS as well.
Or is it better to wait until I exit to industry and pursue my interest in the military then?

Vets using Tricare with a family. I’m out and can use Tricare with the VA, but my wife and I each use our company offerings for our family; which obviously come at cost. Is it worth it to switch to Tricare? Has anyone done this and can share details? Positives/negatives?
