Bring it up were it counts-Your mid year review. Make sure your contributions are noted.
I agree with this!
I know how this feels! Especially when the event manager gets all the credit, but you did the grunt work. SKO events when you are the first one in (5:30 AM) and the last one out (11:00 PM) and missing meals bc you have 5 people yanking on you at the same time. I would start the convo with “in case you weren’t aware here is a list of contributions I made to xyz event”. Never assume your manager knows everything you do. Most likely they only see 25%. Stand firm in your positive contributions, but not confrontational. Short and sweet (list 3-5 bullets) and make sure you highlight if you weren’t there xyz would have fallen through the cracks or xyz would have been a train wreck.
100% agree
Let it go. Nobody cares about names being mentioned at an event unless it's their name.
This is the Author of the post. You are attacking another EA and I literally didn’t respond to your response at all. If you’re not an EA, you’re not a part of the solution. Enjoy your day.
Something similar happened to me once. I planned an entire company outing with over 100 employees and it was such a big success. At the end of the event the CEO got on the Mic and thanked everybody but me lol they did a week later. Give me a spot bonus to thank me for all of my hard work, which was really nice, but like… It would’ve liked to be acknowledged publicly to the company along with all of the other people who had absolutely nothing to do with the planning, lol. As for you, I would make a note of it and bring it up when it comes time for your review.
I would do it now and during your review. They have short memories. Give them exact details. Especially details that were carried out by you personally and no one else. Others would gladly accept acknowledgement of your hard work.
We EAs are pee-ons no matter the empty platitudes we receive occasionally. Bringing it up may feel good but will yield nothing but possibly sowing the seeds of a “problem maker” in the eyes of the powers at work. Hate to say it but let it go and get used to it.
