Productivity will drop by 20%
It was a joke. It’s true, but still a joke. I miss everything you’re missing. And maybe getting some of those soft interactions will help in a deeper way, but they might not help getting the work done. Guess we’ll see. LMK!
With only 3 weeks notice, I feel for my colleagues now scrambling to figure out what to do with their kids. I have yet to talk to a colleague who is happy about this change, especially those in my position where we have to commute into a office and still sit on Zoom with teammates in the other offices.
Most people’s kids will be back in school by then wouldn’t they?
We used to be on a lot of Zoom calls before COVID during the day. Some were one conference room Zooming with another. Some were you and a colleague on Zoom at your desks. If you are the only person coming in and have ZERO interactions with anyone else in your office, that seems like a waste and I would hope Klick wouldn’t make you come in for that. As far as I understand there are exceptions to be granted for stuff like that, but we’ll have to see.
