he spent his time on achieving his own dreams instead of wasting his life thinking about why other people have so much more money
darwin… that’s how natural selection works
The only people who complains about other people’s success are the same ones that wants free money. Instead of grinding it out to be successful. the more you care about what other successful people do, the saltier you become.
Why should others succeeding mean that they should give up more? Are we communist?
...And 5,000 of his employees became millionaires. Are you sad about that? Do you feel badly for them?
Elon musk only paid like 12 billion dollars in taxes last year.
WTF is wrong with you idiots?
Chief
Both Tesla and SpaceX paid $0 in corporate income tax last year. Personal income tax data is not available, but all of these tech lord oligarchs pay very little proportionally in terms of income tax, as they take relatively low salaries. Another tactic they use is to take loans against their paper wealth (in stock holdings), as debt (and payment of debt) isn't taxed. IRS tax code and tax law is very much crafted to benefit the extremely wealthy.

We're not making rich pay their fair share
We're allowing rich to cut corners, and are making special rules just for them to allow them to rake in more wealth
Etc
Bless your heart- really?!

Unrelated, but the childhood nolstagia I feel at seeing Bless Your Heart used correctly in conversation cannot be overstated.
Yes, really. At what point does private wealth become incompatible with democratic fairness or economic balance?
zero-sum thinking will get you nowhere

What part of this is 0 sum thinking?
OP lets say that to tax the rice (which I don’t believe in) what percent would you recommend? Gov would tax them a crazy amount forcing companies to not be able to high more people, raises would not even occur. Once you have gov intervene then your company is screwed. I have another question there are so many ways that “supposed” allocating the money to the hungry children, where are those money. I tell you they get a small percentage and give higher ups a much bigger percentage to pay themselves. It’s a rough world out there but taxing the corporations heavy tax would not solve the issue government would want a piece of that pie.

I do indeed, and I coach others on how to do so.
Yes depressing the innovation and technology and advancement he’s brought upon us. And terrible the wealth he created for anyone who invested in any of his companies. Not to mention hundreds of thousands of people he employs
By not doing what you currently are doing.
I ‘m happy for him!
Why? Why is it depressing for you?
Why would someone else’s success or wealth depress you? That’s just sad
There is absolutley nothing depressing about anyone being a trillionaire. It has no impact on my life how much paper money someone has. If you need something to hang on to, you can hope his stocks drop. Because that is where is monetary worth is held. I'm sure he has a checking and savings account but the vast majority is stock.
What other people achieve has never bothered me.
That's because I'm not an envious jack ass mad about my own miserable life and blaming other people for my own stupidity.
See, that's why I'm happy and you aren't/
