Equity Partner at ID firm. I regularly give work to exp. Special Counsel. 6 mth later atty wanted to return cases bc starting to get own work. I told her great news but I couldn’t take the cases back (my sister was end stage breast cancer.) encouraged her to delegate to Associates and offered to help on all files. Clearly did not want help, refused to delegate, resented help. Over all very rude / belligerent attitude. 2 clients complained. WP was average to good. Case over. Do I let it go?

Things are apparently going to get better after a client will be leaving, I’ll get to work on different brands but I am feeling pretty burnt out from the agency I’m at. Will new clients help? Or should I look elsewhere. Been at the agency almost 3 years, I feel like I need to switch things up for my sanity.

I have another question - I’ll be going to a mid size ID firm that also does crim defense, family, environmental, and more. I get a bonus if I bring in business. How does that even happen?

It’s Friday night at midnight and I just got out of work. I am new to FPP defense. So far it’s soul crushing. I feel like a robot just doing the same pattern pleadings and discovery over and over. If I try to be creative or ask questions I get the response that I should not recreate the wheel… basically just cut and paste. My brain feels like it’s going to rot doing this work. Does it get better or do I need to plan my exit to a different field ASAP?

Hi, new here.

I worked FT as a paralegal and went to law school in the evening. I recently interviewed at a small ID firm in employment law with about 9 attorneys. They asked for a writing sample. I dont have anything recent but provided what I had from last yr in a legal writing class, it was not enough for them. I became licensed this May so I dont have an array of motions to pick from. Then they asked for my undergrad transcript, at this point, I am now annoyed They are not Biglaw. Are they going overboard
