I would bet a lot of people have bouts of imposter syndrome that come and go. I know I do. And I make a point of consciously reminding myself that I know what I'm doing. But it's just something that happens, after all, we're in a business where the next project may present new challenges, and it's easy to feel, well, challenged.
That’s a great way to think about it! I think a lot of us just sink into the jobs a lot too
Absolutely. It feels more normal to feel like I’m faking it than I actually know what I’m doing. I started keeping track of things I completed, little and big wins, mostly for resume purposes, but it’s a good way to remember that I do know what I’m doing, at least once in a while.
That’s a great idea, I really should start doing it. I imagine it’s good for your personal growth but for resume purposes is an amazing idea
I've not been there very long, but im in my late 30's, and I've NEVER seen a company that operates the way AMC does.
Oh dear! That bad? I want to hear more about that
Honestly everyday feels like I’m winging it. I sometimes find it weird that people think I’m competent at my job even though I am.
Haha I feel the exact same!
