Ever try aging your own whiskey at home? I'm experimenting with small barrels and different wood chips. It's risky, but the potential reward is huge. Any tips for DIY whiskey aging?

Hot and cold. If you have a freezer alternate.

Things get over oaked pretty quickly so taste as you go on a regular basis. I’ve tried wood chips, spirals, and staves. Heard of the same issues with small barrels that don’t have the same surface area to volume ratio as a standard barrel.

Warning - these will not replace aging in a normal barrel. You’ll definitely get more oak notes and tannins, but you will not get concentration of flavor that you’d get from loss of angels share.

Cavatappi in Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Tired of of the same old boring tomato marinara sauce? Try a roasted red pepper cream sauce!

Red bell peppers are roasted in the oven until sweet. It is then blended with caramelized onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, sun dried tomato paste, and cream into a silky, smooth and velvety sauce. Finish the sauce with a knob of butter and coat your pasta. Cavatappi works well here. Don’t forget to shave a little Pecorino Romano

My dad who lives in Asia just announced that he had a medical issue. I’m starting to enter the age where I’m going to take care of him financially. Just wanted to share with this group as many of you can understand what it feels like to support your parents when they’re old, not the other way around. I feel so blessed I can help him. 🙏🏽

I’m honestly tired of being at an agency and not feeling as fulfilled as I used with strategy as a career. Have anyone here make a career change? if so, what other jobs out there - outside of agencies and client side - can you apply what you know as a strategist? Curious if anyone has done it and has some advice.
