Every other week I host an Advisor meeting for the advisors in my branch. I like to mix up the topics. What topics would you suggest or have been valuable to as you have attended similar meetings?

I don’t know if this will help but once a quarter I have dinner with 5-6 other Fa’s that I don’t see or speak to on a regular basis.

I always ask what guys are doing or what’s working for them? Any big deals ? Any new sales idea or products that are working ?

It starts great dialogue.

Unless you have a really engaged group of advisors, these meetings are almost a waste. Use to have these when I was at a wirehouse. Guys would never pay attention and be on their phones most of the time.

I agree with Wells Fargo.... meetings are a total waste of time....sounds like you are looking to enrich their knowledge or develop them ... work on that one on one

These advisors really like these meetings. In fact they demand them from me. We are all independent and have different marketing campaigns and niches which makes it interesting, but also difficult to find common topics of interest as meeting subjects

Owner/President... sorry I bashed them... I just can't wrap my head around wanting to be in a meeting... glad it works for you and your crew.

No big deal. I hate meetings too, most of them anyhow. I’m all about getting rid of unproductive meetings.

Trying to set family expectations and would love thoughts on 2 things. 1. How long after baby will I be ready for visitors beyond our parents? I’m thinking a few weeks. 2. Our 3 grandmothers are 1-3 hour flights away (3 diff places) and cannot travel. When will we be ready to take baby to see them? I’m thinking 4-6 months but that would also be flu/RSV season. Can’t predict the future but family is already talking about trips and I want to set expectations and do what is best for baby. TIA!!
