Hmm interesting, I'll look into that - thanks! Need to do my research outside of ERPs then. So far I've done the typical BA role, functional testing (aka bitch monkey), test lead, pmo analyst (aka another bitch monkey), pmo lead and currently in a SME role. Hated all of them. Not sure if my problem is with my expectations, with Accenture, or with tech consulting as a whole.
Same boat and I don't want an MBA either. Might look at startups after a few months
Switch to the architecture/ requirements piece. You come in your write the requirements you leave.
Doesn't the architecture piece require even more knowledge about the ERP systems?
D1, what positions would you be looking at in startups?
1) get out of ERPs, first mistake 2) specialize is functional/ business architecture requirements it's all workshops with clients to understand what they want the system to do, you document it write it as statements ship it off to the poor souls who have to do something with it. You always leave when the client is still excited about the work. It rubs off
Did all the ones above. So far only enjoy the functional requirements analyst and lead role and the deliverable review lead role. Get in, get out, get on with another one.
