the Workday practice at Deloitte is thriving... we are the top Workday implementation partner and are the go to firm by fortune 100.
@OP- are you functional or technical? already certified? What level are they bringing you in? let us know if you need any salary info for negotiations and such.
Hi, would you mind if we chat about Workday practice? I’d love to hear your opinion on it
They don’t have the breadth and industry knowledge to do so
Serious question, why are there third parties involved with stuff like this. Shouldn’t workday just provide the service and expertise to implement their product?
Software as a service companies need to make the majority of their revenue from licenses to make their insanely high margins. They don’t want to mess around with piddly low-margin stuff like consulting or implementation. That’d just make the multiple lower on their valuation.
These software companies don't want to invest in consulting. They make the majority of their $$ as soon as they sell the product. Better to stay lean and focus on sales
Plenty of Workday consultants came from Peoplesoft, Oracle, etc. Makes sense that Workday would align you for similar gigs in the future depending on your networking skillz. Look into other partners implementing Workday (Accenture, KPMG, etc.) to make sure the industry focus aligns with your skill set and background.
