Similar comp when adjusted for the different job locations. Can anyone help me with the Pros and Cons please. We don’t do the cohort model at Deloitte. I came in as an experienced hire. There is a range that is already pre-determined based on your level and years of experience. The recruiter will usually ask what your expected range would be. I threw out a number that was very high and they ended up about $5K less (they started out $15k less and I negotiated with a competing offer) and a bump in title.
This was several years ago. I feel like my raises have been really good at Deloitte, even with the higher offer (my first raise after being hired was 8% - this was an average year - not the last couple of years where the firm has done really well). I came from pwc and each year the percentage has been just as high as or even more than my raises with pwc (prior to the cohort model).
No - it's a cohort model so everyone at the same level in the same group (and same office) makes the same base pay. You are the. Differentiated by bonus based on performance. It is possible to get a slight bump from this coming in as an experienced higher but after your first year you're automatically re aligned to the cohort
**Only for PwC
