Extremely depressed as my long-antagonistic "boss" (client actually) has used Japanese hierarchical culture norms to make my immediate confrère in the work hate me.
The former is an older man while the later is slightly middle aged but accomplished and very type A. Until recently the younger colleague and I got along great, then "sempai" starter treating him like a trusted friend and he starts to echo the old ierk's jabs at me. With me being the only one on my team who doesn’t drink, it causes me to stick out, and others constantly question why I’m not drinking.
