ExxonMobil I've received a verbal offer for a corporate role at Exxon and I am wondering what the drug test policy is? Specifically if they hair test, no issues passing urine. I was in California recently and smoked a few times with a friend so I'd likely fail. But I am unsure if hair tests are standard for corporate roles (the woodlands HQ) or if they're primarily for operations, safety and field work. Any advice would be great!!

Run. Exxon has the worst corporate culture you could ask for and I’ve worked in Big 4 accounting.

They are standard for all roles. Second attorney above - if it was TRULY once or twice, you should be okay. If more, don’t even bother.

If you didn’t like that type of culture you won’t like Exxon. We didn’t have enough people to do the work and they let people go bc they were at the bottom of the rankings. Those people weren’t even “fat to trim” they did good work and put in effort just don’t spend as much time there as other people. My group had 2 people turn down offers after they figured out the culture of Exxon. You gotta do what’s best for you but I’m giving the eyes wide open curtain pullback. It’s very much like a big consulting firm in where you’re managing up and down constantly. Morale was also piss poor. None of my managers could even tell me where I went to law school that’s how little they cared about people.
I got the hair test at a Shell Oil refinery in 2018. Not a problem as I have never done deus except for prescription ones for blood pressure and cholesterol.

When I went in house at EMC a couple years ago it was urine. But seriously run the other way if you have an option or family.
