What’s Centene’s reputation to the outside world? You can be honest. I understand the overall distain for health insurance companies in general. I’ve been experiencing a lot of internal conflict after surviving 2 acquisitions in 4 years, most recently by Centene. All it took was 1 Google search to make me start questioning everything.

Hello all. My experience in healthcare is pretty niche, almost exclusively in Neurodiagnostics and surgical neurophysiology but I am trying (desperately) to transition out as the burnout is incredible. Insurance Defense Associate new to group. Just finished first year on the defense side after 6 years on the Plaintiff side, joined 3 weeks before lockdown. WFH with 6 and 2 year old. While billing 2k in a year with kids at home all day is nuts, you will not get better balance in a small pltff firm. Small firm partners are allergic to WFH, and can't afford to be flexible with when an associate gets to their work. The support of a larger firm is what has kept me alive this past year.

My wife will be quitting her job soon to be a SAHM to our infant. I’m currently on a high-deductible plan at EY (along with my our infant) but my wife is separately insured through her current employer. I’ll be adding her to my insurance (already maxing HSA) ... is there anything else I should be working on? Planning to roll her 401k into an IRA ASAP.

Guys ds courses for 3-4 lakhs are fucking too much to pay don't go for these types of courses. The folks who teach these courses didn't take any all that is available online or refer to some standard books or videos. Even if you want to take you can take small courses for 5-10k and learn. Develop a habit of reading documentation(embrace the fucking boredom)

Partner and I are considering a move to NYC (been a dream of mine for a decade now and we now both have remote jobs) but definitely intimidated by the rental market. We’d love a two-bedroom or 1-bedroom + home office with dishwasher, W/D, cat-friendly, and possibly elevator. What’s the likelihood of getting that for $3,500/month or less? Does anyone here take concerta and struggle with the “concerta crash” as the medicine wears off? I’ve been on it since 7th grade and feel like the coming down effects have been a lot more draining recently. It makes my evenings pretty unenjoyable. I recently started investing time in my hobbies and I feel like that’s a free therapy. If someone is feeling too anxious or depressed, I would recommend them to try painting, writing or swimming.

My partner tells me to share my anxieties. I do share some, but I tell him I cannot possibly share all. There are many, and I don’t want to subject him to the inner turmoil I suffer daily.
