EY GDS or Macquarie when both offering same salary?

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?

What is the entry level salary of Senior Analyst?

Hello all, I received the offer letter for Deputy Manager 3 at Deloitte India however the designation is not mentioned on the offer letter and only Deputy Manager is mentioned. The HR is saying the level is not mentioned anywhere (even in salary slips). How to confirm the same.

How are non-market (comp) Amlaw100-200 firms going to survive the associate salary hikes? I’m at an Amlaw100+ firm and our comp is about 25% under the new market for junior/midlevel and up to 40% under for seniors. We have tons of work and NO associates left to do it. Many (if not most) associates have jumped to market firms and no laterals to replace them. How will this place survive with no foreseeable associates and (allegedly) no plans for raises?

How real is the “third/third/third” rule (where 1/3 of income in a firm is allegedly dedicated to overhead, 1/3 to salary, and 1/3 to profit) in determining salaries? Assuming I don’t bring in business or manage associates, am I capped out at 1/3 of the income I produce for the firm?
