Hi,
My last working day was 11th Nov and I submitted my asset to TCS location and got the Initial release letter as well. Later on 17th or 18th of Nov, I got a message from TCS that they have sent the Packing material through Vendor, please accept it.
I didn't accept the material and cancelled it when the delivery boy came to my location.
So, is it going to create any problem in getting reliving letter? Share your thought please

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

In my first couple years, I pretty much had my head down, did everything to exceed expectations and produce quality work. As I moved up, I was more comfortable to set boundaries for personal time and be okay to say “No” because by then my managers/team understand that I’m a solid worker and know that I’m unavailable because of a valid reason.
In the first few years I always wanted to be on top of everything, worked so hard, days , nights, weekends, took time away from my family.:. At the end got passed from promotion, and later rolled off the engagement I gave my heart and soul to due to budgets. Had a moment of grief, and then moment of realization that all that hard work no one care about. So take work as it is just work , but family and friends is everything. Enjoy small things, take work easy.
There is no time to enjoy the small things in life while you are in consult… that is why they pay you so well… and why most people leave consulting. You will hear stories as you move up of people missing their kids, weddings, child births, divorces, etc.

I think it’s the reverse. You should be enjoying small things in life to manage the stress
100% same
Save money or you will look back and regret. The stress may shorten life but make it worthwhile. Celebrate wins. Be extraordinary and meet people you could never have met in ordinary situations or jobs. Love what you do and remember you are there because you have what it takes. This eases the burden.
