Finished my MBA and recieved a Senior Consultant offer from EY (3YOE). The pay (90 base+ 10 signing) is what I was making in manufacturing ops pre-MBA (with a guaranteed raise of 10% every year). Negotiating the pay right now but is it worth switching to consulting and taking this "pay cut"? Is the big4 grind worth?

Remember one thing - If some companies are laying off employees then it's equally a good chance for the other companies to get talented resource . Here things will remain balanced mostly and there's no need to fear . Not all companies do layoff at the same time. You may end up getting a 100% hike too. Just believe in yourself and focus on your skillset, time to brush up and pull up your socks. Stay safe , stay positive !
