First posted this in the H1B bowl, but apparently there are fewer attorneys on there than I hoped. My client is filing a new petition to change employers, and his H-4 family members are stuck abroad because of COVID travel restrictions. Their H-4s don’t expire until 2021. If changing employers invalidates his current visa, can his family still get back into the US on their H-4s? Or do we have to wait for the consulates to open up to file for their extensions before they travel?

I’m new to the immigration practice, and recently submitted an I-129 for 15 H-2B landscape workers. I knew the deadline would be close, but I convinced the client that we could take the chance. The cap count was reached after we submitted, so no approval. Is there any other avenue to bring over those workers or is he screwed?

I am an senior associate at a small (8-10 attorneys) immigration firm in NYC. My base is 110k and I get 30% for the cases and clients I bring in. My revenue was 370k last year and I did 250k till April this year.

My issue is, I have so much firm's work that I have hard time to work on my cases/clients. It feels like my cases are supposed to be done after hours (like after 6 pm). My work hours are crazy. I feel this is unfair and since my firm's taking 70% of my sales. Should I ask for a raise?
