first time freelancer here - should I make a second bank account or do anything special to track income for taxes? or just pay estimated taxes quarterly and square up during tax season?

We all know how inflation can derail our Retirement Planning dreams!!Though it's better to start investing as early as possible,but HEY, all is not lost even if you start little late. We all have our family responsibilities when we start our career, so "INVESTING FOR SELF" takes a back seat.
Just a perspective, even if someone at the age of 45 years starts investin for his retirement, he can decently manage the same with discipline and regular investing.

If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? The 5.75% doesn’t feel that low but also not crazy high so I’m torn. Thoughts? 🙏

I just left my pre-seed startup that was running out of cash (we made $100,000 in revenue this year, and sunk $1m in costs). I was making $40,000 as a developer (plus 20k stock options at $1/share per year) and they refused to pay me any more money. I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I can see short term changes but the way Amex has been aggressively marketing Platinum card, we just will have overcrowding of primary card holders 🤷🏻‍♂️
