I put a deposit down on a Rolex for my wife last November with my local dealer. Nice guy and no reason to doubt it as I underwent here were a lot of delays with Rolex. 2nd year assoc. here. Finding myself spending 3-5 hours researching/analyzing issues that should only take 1-3 hours. I find myself questioning - for every assignment - is this the issue I was asked to look into? Did I read that case right? Does this analysis make sense? And I end up reading the same cases over and over. Does anyone have advice for being more confident/efficient on tasks, especially research?

I practice litigation defense and recently started growing a plaintiffs practice on my own at my firm. I’ll probably bring in $300k to the firm just from that this year. Although I enter my time on these cases and they count towards my hourly goal, should I ask for a contingency % in addition to my salary moving forward?

I’ve been working at a rather prestigious midsized firm in a big city for almost a year and a half now. I have been having a lot of trouble picking up work from senior partners. We are required to bill at least 150 hours per month to meet our requirement. My months are typically only 110-130 hours.
