Hi! I am currently an Early Childhood Teacher, but I am interested in becoming an Early Childhood Education instructor at a technical high school. It will be a big jump from teaching K to teaching high school students but I am really excited about the possibility of working with the next generation of teachers. This summer I will be teaching the two courses required to gain the extension certificate to be a New York State certified Work-based Learning Coordinator. Is there a requirement for additional training to become a WBLC in your location? Is it part of an existing CTE teacher’s responsibility or something else? Do you need a WBLC for your program approval?

Do you know what a CLNA is? The Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment is a tool for determining CTE Program design/accountability for Perkins V. Who’s responsibility is it in your district? Has it helped at all?
