Bain & Company Is anyone else getting their application to Bain & Company pushed backed?
As of yesterday, even though I applied in May, and that while they liked my application, they will not be considering me till early 2023.
This is the second time they pushed back their consideration... 😞

OP, the way it works (or used to anyways) was first round was essentially location agnostic. The nearest office would interview you. If you were passed on to round 2 you would then be shooed to the different offices to decide who wanted to interview you for your actual potential offer (obviously using your location preferences as a first guide).
Theres not going to be a situation where you get a turndown from an interview and another office randomly goes “oh wait actually I want him/her”

Tell your recruiter. First round interview is usually nearest office, regardless of preferences (may be different since virtual now). If you pass that, recruiter shows your profile to office 1. They can accept and or pass. If accept, that’s your March and final interview place. If they pass, interviewer checks with office 2, and so on. It’s nice for recruiter to know you’re indifferent so they can say that to office 3 if needed.

yes. Round one is convenience for interviewing. Round two is about office fit.
This year i was told that the first round would be at the office of your preference (aka both rounds would be in the same office location) due to remote interviewing

That's not true. A friend just went through the process. Had first round with closest office and second round with his preferred office (second choice)
Well idk then. That’s exactly what my recruiter told me yesterday
