For my fellow female lawyers with debilitating periods, how are you able to get through a work day? I am very lucky that I work remote, but still find it extremely difficult to get through the day.

I’m in same boat, I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis. On days when I have to be in office I take toradol, which is unfortunately really hard on stomach but gets me through the day.

Menopause at 38! Now 58 and glad I don't have blood to deal with each month. For the record, I had really really bad periods back in the day, had to take compazine for nausea. I once in awhile got muscle cramps, bad mood syndrome, and painful periods, but my main issue was being bed-ridden in my 20s sometimes for the extreme nausea. I guess there's something to be said for being over 50, at least I don't have to worry about feeling like I have the flu each month.

Nexplanon

I’ve worked with a heating pad in my lap & that helps.

I do that too. But a lot of times the pain is so bad I need to curl into a ball

Combo of Aleve + Midol

I take Yaz (the generic version) birth control and I take it continuously, so I never get a period all year. Total game-changer and life changing honestly. A whole lot more freedom and less worry. And I have been doing that for about 10-12yrs and it’s been great.

Round or exact numbers on banners/LPs? I was curious about this since in negotiations for example or pricing it's better to have the exact number. But if you have a case study, for example, is it better to say "Client X increased their revenue to 1,000,000 ARR" instead of "Client X increased their revenue to 987,500 ARR" ? Anyone has seen any impact on conversion rates?

Advice Request: Started my career litigating. Switched to niche transactions (so about half and half at this point). Halfway through a year long sabbatical and reevaluating what I want to do (left before jumping to Senior associate). I’d like to get into litigation again in a practice group I don’t have experience in. Any suggestions on how to do this? How to approach firms and partners etc? Past 2 firms on my resume are top 30.

I’m a mentor for a summer associate who I believe could be a great lawyer here (V100, small market if that matters). However, it is apparent he has no understanding of technology (redlines, word, excel). Based on his background, I believe it’s due to a lack of access. Would you ever recommend to your firm that he be given a course to catch up? Should I try and get him training on my own? Stay out of it? I dont want to overstep but believe this would help him as this puts him way behind his peers
