Currently a staff in audit - 6 months in. Glad to be learning a lot, and have had a generally positive experience at the firm other than a few interactions, some tough busy season nights. Really been intrigued by TAS/M&A, however, and had a few convos with a senior in TAS i know at the firm. It’s closer to what I studied, but don’t know how to make the jump as it seems an internal transfer could take 6+months/senior rank and a lot of convincing. How do you know you’re a good designer? I get most of my ideas from being inspired by other work and just creating what I feel looks good. I know how to use design programs. But, I don’t know if that’s enough.

(1/2) Did she steal my work? I was a creative designer for an e-comm company last year. While I was there I hand drew a digital illustration for a package design assignment. They ended up repurposing it for a print on a dress. I haven’t added it to my portfolio yet, but I just came across my illustration on a portfolio. The girl who replaced me after I quit took my line work from the illustration and slapped their logo in the middle and put it on her portfolio as her work for the brand.

However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either.
