For those of you who are back in the office—how’s it going? I’ve been fully remote for the last three years, but now my company’s requiring three days a week in-office starting next month. Some of my coworkers say it’s helped them feel more connected, but others are dreading the commute and awkward watercooler talk. Personally, I’m torn—I miss the energy of a team, but I also don’t miss sitting in traffic for 90 minutes. If you’ve made the shift back already, has it been horrible… or better than expected?

Anyone here adopt a puppy during the infertility struggle? Husband and I considering it to have something positive throughout this situation and thinking the extra companionship would be helpful. I work from home. Husband has had many family dogs and lots of experience with it, I’ve had a family cat before. But not sure if it’s actually a good idea - wondering if it would truly help make us feel better and keep our minds off of the struggles or if it would just add extra stress. Thoughts?

What’re the various agencies/components’ return to office dates (if announced)? And what’re the remote work policies after that date? I hear DOJ said their individual components will decide when exactly to return between mid-March and early May and some are offering a lot of remote flexibility even after then. Curious to hear more details though, both for specific DOJ components and other agencies!

As a law student interested in going into the field I’ve seen a lot of negative comments saying that only lawyers who couldn’t get into big law go into PA. Although I know most people try to get into big law initially, it is very competitive and many don’t stay past 2-3 years. You certainly don’t make as much going into PA as a lawyer but the pay is certainly not bad and the WLB is generally much better. Can anyone speak to how they got into PA and if you would rather be working in Big Law
