For those of you with young kids, how much weight do you put on childcare benefits when contemplating an offer? My oldest is just now in school, and we live in the Midwest. Today is the 3rd time this year school has been cancelled due to the weather. My boss is okay if I WFH those days, but tbh it’s hard to get anything done. I started looking into backup childcare but it’s time-consuming and expensive. What kinds of benefits are out there and how valuable are they to you?

I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. My current job I make 150k plus a 20% bonus and an annual cost of living raise anywhere from 2-3.5%. Have been in my current position about a year.
