We were running a program to move staff to NYM a little while back. The standard package advertised was 15$k relocation money and a salary review for market adjustment (amount depending on where you're coming from).
Depends on the market, location and line of service. My understanding is that most firms provide relocation benefits and cost of living adjustments to salary but not signing bonuses for a transfer in the same firm. Strategic International secondments often come with additional bonuses

Initially no, but used offers from competitors to juice up my base 15% and got a 7.5k signing bonus
Yes and $5,000
This makes me laugh. If you request the transfer yourself due to personal reasons then good luck getting help relocating because the firm is accommodating your request. If you’re transfer is in response to a need at the new office then you’ll get a transfer “bonus” that is really more a relocation assistance package where you get to keep what you don’t spend on your move. Signing bonus for a transfer? Forget about it unless you are switching firms too.
It depends. Sometimes the firm will advertise a certain city that needs staff (I.e seniors, managers) and will pay you a bonus to transfer. But in the normal day to day transfer, that you have requested for personal reasons, no. They will just adjust your salary to be in line with the COL.
I transferred internally (I asked for the new role, not the other way around) and still received relocation assistance. I want to say it was $3k to move to a city 90 minutes away.
