For those that work in industry what AI tools are you using to help automate your data flow and compliance work? We are using the usual tax engine like OneSource and Vertex. Also using Alteryx to help with the data processing. The executive would like us to automate more and use more AI tools. I don't think there are "AI tools" out there that are there yet to actually be helpful but I can be wrong so just wondering what are you all using to make your compliance and tax accounting work easier.

I want to buy a Rolex explorer 1. Should I buy it used for around $9,500? Or someone try to wait for the AD which who knows when it’ll be. I’m a bit hesitant to buy a used Rolex. Is buying used from a reputable source risky?

I'm entering my final year of law school but am going part time since I work full time as a paralegal. I have been a paralegal for more 10+ years and I want to open my own firm after I pass the bar.

I've worked at a lot of different size firms including a startup with a few attorneys and I was able to help with a lot of the ground work with getting the practice management system in place and still do some of that now at my current firm. Has anyone done this right out of law school? Any advice?

Best way to go about getting contract work for new solo/startup? Should I just ask around the area for people doing that type of work and see if they have anything?

I’m a 2yr with quite frankly a lot of experience across civ rights, PI, excessive force, wrongful death, employment defense, K dispute, corp. structure dispute, professional licensure. Question: I have a client who started a restaurant. He leased the land and bought shipping containers where he spent money contracting out to turn them into bars. I’m having a tough time determining how to depreciate this! First thought was leasehold but he’s not making improvements to a structure...he owns the structure! But nonresidential real estate at 27.5 years doesn’t make sense either as it’s not a brick and mortar building. Curious on others thoughts! TIA

At any level above Senior, how do u manage the relationship between utilization and realization, which is an inverse relationship. Seems to be either blow the budget (and write it off), or eat a lot of time.
