For those who are in PwC, can you negotiate your salary when getting hired even though there's a cohort model set up?

Probably lesser so at the associate level. I imagine it’s easier to negotiate once you hit senior or manager

like

I’m not sure you’d be able to negotiate base salary but you might be able to negotiate a signing bonus. And if you do successfully negotiate salary, you might find that your increase next year is smaller when your cohort catches up to you

like

You cannot negotiate salary but you may be able to negotiate what level they bring you in at. For example instead of SA1 maybe SA2. Im sure that depends on what level you’re interviewing for + your YOE tho. Fairly certain that all levels are on cohort at this point even Manager and director

like

Yes, I negotiated mine, the just move you up (Ex A2 —> A3)

Thanks guys

Anyone successfully negotiate recently?

Hello! I’m gearing up for my year end comp conversation and I’d like to be a better idea of what people are making to ask for a raise. I work for a large asset manager and sell alternative investments (PE, RE, Credit, Infra etc) to RIAs, family offices, and multi family offices. I’m currently an associate, but am hoping to get VP this cycle. Any insight on what your comp looks like and how it’s structured would be super helpful!
