I wouldn’t worry about it. Direct eye contact with zoom participants isn’t necessary. That being said I’ve seen people stand up their iPhones under their monitors behind their keyboards so the camera is pointed up at them. But then this just has the opposite effect you described.
I am using my iPad because of that issue.
We have teams and you can add the main monitor to the call and share that

Great! It’s a little awkward especially at first and maybe works better in a Zoom versus Teams call but it’s been helpful. I just slide it off to the side when I’m not on a call.
