Well... In these cases... Better be late than dead man! I know it's annoying AF. But better safe than sorry. However. The technician/mechanic being delayed is definitely on them. The airline system definitely needs an overhaul. Too many moving parts

like

I was sitting in the exit row window last night. Cover came off the handle when I bumped it. You better believe I propped that back up to make it look normal so we didn't end up taking a delay for it.

This is legit worst part of our job. Good luck, hope you have a fun weekend planned atleast!

like

They'd rather be safe rather than sorry? They have a list of things they're allowed to fly with while broken so if they deplaned it's not on that list. Could have happened to anyone -- have another drink and relax. Can't get bothered by the little things if you want to survive for long in this industry

like

Yeah agree with @D2 the mechanics not being around is another thing. Trust your pilots though

like

They do a walkaround inspection before pushing back but asking it to catch everything is like asking "I ran a smoke test on my application before going live but I still discovered defects. Why couldn't we do a quality check before going live?"

Oh and guess what the mechanics going to be delayed ! What the heck ? They dotn have resources now

I agree they d rather be safe but it seems like an issue with almost every flight .try not to bother but it seems like every time we fly it's an issue .maybe our firms should get private charters 😅

What I meant by my limited post is why couldn't they do a proper inspection check? Either way the flight was delayed .they should have one in place a quality check before they arrange planes to fly

We've had private charters on a couple projects here... people preferred getting their miles!

@ Deloitte digital 😂😂😂😂 and I understand they do a check for sure but I feel like I don't face this issue in other countries I fly as often but here on a more regular basis

But nonetheless am back on the plane hopefully should be home in an hour ❤️

Still on the runway but thanks pilot !

Planes can crash for such minor malfunctions like frozen sensors.

Delta status question. I have silver status but am probably going to miss it by a tiny bit this year. I know it rolls over to next year but will my mqms rollover too? Technically I am silver so they should but also I didn’t meet this years requirements so I could see why they wouldn’t too. Confused by this.

Does anyone know if you can transfer a credit card balance twice? I.e. say if I have 5k in my Amex and I want to transfer that balance to a Citi card. Then, say in two months later I have another 5k on my Amex and I want to transfer that as well. Do I have to open up a second card or can I just do a second balance transfer to the Citi card?
