I felt like a walking zombie during thanksgiving, barely eating and barely talking. My family is small and I told them ahead of time my relationship ended. I focused on my niece and nephews, cried when I wanted to and slept from 8pm-noon for the last 5 days. Showered once or twice. That’s the best I could do and that’s OK right now. I’m back in my apartment, just trying to take it one day at a time, and not re read his texts too much. My birthday is Thursday 🙄

Anyone with anxious attachment tendencies? Going through a breakup and I keep thinking about how I pushed him away and then am down on myself, replaying memories in my mind. At the end of the day, I think we were a bad match from the beginning and misaligned, but so hard not to beat myself over my anxious attachment during my relationship

Why do we always tell people “Be the best version of yourself before starting a relationship?”
I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.

Is sending kids to private school worth it? Talking about 25k-30k per year. Living inside city where public school are average. Thinking of sending kid to international school with bilingual program (family speaks multiple languages)…. The money adds up a lot over a lifetime. Especially if we have more than 1 kid.

I applied to B schools and while I got into a school I'm very happy with, another school that was my #1 rejected me outright when I felt I had a great shot. Furthermore, that school was close to both my and my wife's families. So despite the school im attending being better for my career, I can't help but feel that I've let my wife and both of our families down.

This is really starting to eat at me, to the point of having nightmares and waking up anxious. Any tips on how to get over this?...

Everyday I have a desire to move somewhere new and the next day feel never mind and then strongly feel the same sentiment again 2 days after. What do you do when you feel the goalpost has been/is being moved re: billable requirements? Like there's a spoken vs unspoken? I chose this job based on billables vs salary and what I'm being told I'm expected to do now is 20-30% (at least) > than what was initially agreed upon. Given my other life responsibilities, this is creating a huge strain & I feel like this is slowly getting harder & harder on my spouse & kids. I'm grateful to have lots of good work but not sure how to course correct.
