Just an FYI Gaetz also “raised” an immigrant child without any actual paperwork and is not a blood relative.
“Geatz did not formally adopt Nestor (and he declines to discuss Nestor’s relationship with his biological family now). He re-frames the matter, saying, “Our relationship as a family is defined by our love for each other, not by any paperwork.”

Thinking of leaving audit after my second busy season . My main interest in accounting was always the forensic line but got recruited for audit. Now I feel this is the best time to transition. Any advice for someone who wants to start with CPE route instead of CPA (did it a couple of time and did not pass) seeing it as a sign to go for my main interest. Also do I look for position as senior or just Associate. PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

My husband and I both went on reduced pace until all 3 of our kids were in school. Is reducing your billable requirement an option?
What are your required billable? The probably answer is you either need to find a daycare with longer hours (ours is 7-6) or a nanny/sitter to pick up a few hours. Or work a decent amount after baby goes to bed.
I log back in after my son goes to bed. Typically end up working until at least midnight.
You definitely need a longer daycare. I could pick up my son as late as 6.
And once he went to bed at 9, I usually logged back on to work for a few hours.

We have childcare (a nanny) 8:30-5 (so similar hours), and I almost always log back in after the baby goes down at 7:30.
This. And also I am on a reduced hour schedule.
What daycare closes at 4?? In your situation, I’d get a nanny.
Our nanny picks up our daughter from school and stays with her until we get home after work or later if we need. She lives two blocks away and has a teenager so is flexible. She’s a godsend and we couldn’t do it without her.
We live in NYC so it’s subway all the way. I know that’s not helpful, sorry about that.
My husband’s mom comes over during the day from Monday to Friday to watch her. My husband and I work from home 4 out of 5 days of the week. My daughter (14 months) is going to daycare part time soon but they daycare is 5-7 mins away and does aftercare if we happen to run late. But it will be interesting seeing how we manage pick up and drop off. I work a little extra in the evening on Mondays and Tuesday a lot. My husband cooks more than me and I ted to do the bedtime routine. We’re also fine with getting takeout if it’s easier.
