Getting recruited by Deloitte AIM. Thoughts on leaving Accenture Digital for Deloitte AIM? Any real benefits other than better salary?

I already travel cross country for Accenture as big data roles are all over the place. This would be manager / senior specialist level.

500 dollar fitness subsidy, WSJ free access, free cellphone regardless of level, 10k a year tuition reimbursement for any graduate program, GSAP eligibility if you're coming in at a lower level like our DHCs (direct hire consultants), Deloitte University, and a lot of travel (we don't have a regional model).

Really good leadership. AIM practice is seen as a strong place to come from in the marketplace

AIM work is more basic analytics focused (excel, sql, etc) . If you are looking for advanced analytics, predictive modeling, etc. The Data Science practice is the way to go

Actually, D1, we have an entire group of cognitive practitioners in AIM that are in the Advanced Analytics Enablement capability. And the benefits are similar for AIM as Data Science in human capital.

Interesting feedback guys. Thanks so much! I have been told by many in leadership at Deloitte that Deloitte is industry leader and have many efforts in AI , machine learning, streaming analytics, and Predictive /Prescriptive analytics. Would you disagree?

Very true

While there are people in AIM who have data science skills, the majority of the practice does not. The Data science practice is much more technical as a whole. They do end up working together on some engagements. Data science practice has a lot of advanced degrees (PhD's and Masters)

How useful do you guys think getting a tablet would is for consulting work? I'm contemplating getting a tablet instead of a new personal laptop. Additionally, I feel I can take my notes on the tablet as well. What do you guys think? Good investment?

Bye bye Accenture, I joined about a year ago as an experienced hire and have been on a project about 6 months out of 13 (50% chargeability). The leadership needs a program to help experienced hire to adjust in the company. Consulting, the "networking", PowerPoint making isn't just for me. I have a technical background and was losing my skills since I joined. Accenture is a great company and I'd advise anyone to leverage the countless training provided.
