Don't say "thanks fam"

Lead the walkthrough meeting.
Take notes good enough that the senior wouldn’t have to (he still probably will). Making an attempt at filling out the screen with minimal guidance would be pretty cool as well after the fact.
Write down everything, clean up your notes and then send them to the senior
Read & Print PY walkthrough doc & flowchart, make a list of all the necessary docs and probably info mgt (if the Senior hasn’t already done so), print PY examples that you don’t quite understand.. get a game plan with the senior. Then be quiet and take very detailed notes. Also take notes of questions you have. Discuss them w/ senior after walkthrough then follow up with client as necessary
Ask you senior this same question instead of randos on some app
Stay quiet and take good notes. That's just about all you can do.
Don’t have diarrhea like my staff did
Oh that was sincere advice as to what you can do on your first walk through
Don’t swivel around in your chair and swallow your gum before you walk into the meeting.
And in all seriousness, this is a time to listen and learn. Speak up if you think you have something valuable to add but don’t think you need to be a hot shot your first day on the job. Better to keep your mouth closed than to say something dumb.
Know what needs to be requested during the meeting. Do this by understanding what was received previously and go over it with your senior before hand and ask what their thoughts are for improvement this year. Take initiative of following up on all after meeting requests and keep following up until you have everything
Accept that most of it won't make sense and you will feel lost and overwhelmed. As far as taking good notes, what that means is take notes you can use later - sounds simple enough? Let us know how it goes. Good luck.
The fishes have spoken.
@ey2 would you prefer thanks fishes, lulz
Thanks so much guys. I appreciate all your help!
Just listen and take notes. Lol don't be too hard on yourself.
