OMEGA INCREASED THEIR PRICES OH NOOOOOOOOOO
I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

We traveled to Ireland during March ‘24 with three kids under 8y/o. Dublin was just meh IMO. Highly recommend hitting the road to Northern Ireland, which has some cool features:

Took a wrong turn and ended up driving thru this gap. No cell coverage and low cloud cover. Felt like a scene from Jurassic Park or possibly New Zeland. Didn’t see another car for a good while.

We scrapped Galway from our itinerary for one night/day in Dingle and two days in Killarney

That makes sense for Gallway with the local family connection. Have a great trip!
Your itinerary is great! A few things to consider:
- the Guinness tour is better than the Jameson tour if you only have time to do one (Jamo is still worth it one time tho just to say you did it)
- if you are driving from Dublin to Galway, stop at Tullamore DEW distillery (much better experience than Jamo)
- might be difficult with a kid but a half day trip to the Aran Islands off Galway is unique. We rode beach cruiser bikes all around the island but you can hire a local car as well. We took the puddle jumper but most people take the ferry.
- won’t fit into your itinerary, but pin it for next time, Kinsale is a port town with fantastic restaurants and bars.
Yeah, I think the islands would definitely be a good day trip, I'll definitely look into it.
Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin is a must see
Another suggestion that hasn’t been said yet is https://www.newgrange.com/ which is really cool and not far outside Dublin from what I remember when going. Power’s court is also pretty and outside the city. Galway was so fun and wish we had stayed there longer but cliff’s of mohr is a must out of that way. Dingle was very cute as well but I’m not sure you need to stay multiple days there.
4 days in Dublin is A LONG time. Cut it to 2 and add in 2 days elsewhere
If that is what you want to do in Dublin, you won’t need 4 days, that can all be done in a day and overnight. You might like the EPIC museum since your wife has family there. And as someone else mentioned doing Kilmainham and GPO museum if you can will give you more to do in Dublin. Spend those extra days either going to Northern Ireland and do Giants Causeway and Belfast. Or get to Galway sooner and spend more time on the west coast, dingle is great, there’s also many scenic spots in Co Mayo north of Galway such as Achill Island or Downpatrick Head.
