Greetings from ATL
Bain sea anyone?
Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?
Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.

If you think there may be another dip then DCA, if you think stocks are only going up from now on, then lump sum. It’s really a personal preference 🤷🏻♀️
I'm just starting to invest, wondering why so many people here prefer DCA when there seem to be more evidence suggesting that lumpsum payoff is better? Happy to learn, any advice welcome
If you have money then front loading isn’t a bad idea. I invest every month from my paycheck and usually set aside some money to buy more when the market dips. Did it last week and did it today.
Hi I am the person who suggested two Green Day’s. I think it is ok time, think about the cash you plan to put in and consider how you will DCA to continue contributions for at least a year. If selloff becomes dramatic again perhaps reevaluate and add faster once we see some signs or resistance (e.g 2 Green Day’s).
Full disclosure personally I am bearish on a macro perspective because of the FED. Think risks are elevated and I would also recommend having a decent hedge (whatever you have faith in) in case we see some serious pain.
Good luck!
Short term price movement shouldn’t be a big factor in your decisions. Only thing is it’s nice for your sanity to avoid dumping a big sum of money in right before a huge selloff and waiting years for it to recover.. anyway happy to help!
