I am embarking on a new position this next school year. I will be starting a new self-contained moderate class and need any useful tips for veterans of these classes.

I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. However, I have seen poor reviews for working at TCS and I’d like to get some feedback from anyone currently or had previously worked for that company. What is the environment like and has anyone been in a situation where the contract with TCS and the client ended and had trouble with TCS finding them a new role at the same pay?

Turned down a gig at Apple two years ago because I saw a lot of growth opportunities at my current company and saw the position as a step back (even though it was more money) and have regretted it ever since. Still in the same exact position at the same company I was then btw. Bad choice.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

Or should I take a job offer I was given with a nice raise, but is in consulting at Slalom. I have not worked in consulting before. Y'all, I am STRUGGLING. I teach K-2 mild/mod SDC. My students seem to have reverted back to acting like toddlers. They are whining, crying, screaming, hitting, kicking.
