Have cleared HCL interview. Initially they offered 23 lpa (via proposed offer letter, to be approved by L4), but i requested to reconsider it for 25 lpa. After 5 days, they sent final offer letter of 19 lpa (stating they can offer max 50% as per L4 approval).

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. Do Leidos, SAIC, and other mostly-fed consulting businesses pay bonuses to all levels? If so, what does a typical bonus target look like? Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.

My lease has language stating that unless you’re military or dead you can’t get out of your lease. Market rate is $750 higher than what I’m paying now, $1750 vs $2500. Anyone ever had luck pitching “if you let me out of my lease you stand to earn that much more from renting in this more expensive market?”

I majored in business during undergrad and am eligible to sit for the CPA exam so I don't think comp skills should be an issue. I've only seen lawyers transition from big law to Big 4 tax departments. If going into big 4 tax is my only option, is it possible to switch from tax to consulting? Thanks
