Wow! Time to update that resume
I have been and have been applying all over
At least you got something I guess. My firm put a pay freeze into effect right before my anniversary last May. In June I added credentials that make me a higher value to the firm and received no additional compensation. In August I requested a compensation review and was told I was on the list to have my compensation reviewed right away and we're now at the end of February with nothing different, despite repeated follow up requests. And now I'm being told that they're revamping the pay structure and I guess that implies that my compensation will be adjusted either once that new pay structure comes out or at my anniversary in May.
Truthfully, at prior firms I was at, $1 was the standard raise each year of service with the firm - I didn't bat an eye at that and was thankful to at least receive something (maybe I didn't know better at the time).
I think, though, that firms should meet or beat the COLA percentage that social security uses each year and then determine if a merit/performance based raise is appropriate for the employee each year (national average is typically about 3-4.5%)
In three years my salary has gone up 6% overall. Being in a VHCOL I can’t afford this small a raise when I know others got much more
I got 20 cents
👀
One year I got $0.11 an hour raise . This year I expect to get no raise and no bonus but will not find out until April
Lol, my partner works at a top firm and his firm gave him 85 cents per hour raise. He billed 1920 hours in corp last year.
Hey its better than the raise I got a few years ago which was literally thirty cents. But you are right, these raises don't cover the rising costs of anything.
