Interviewed 2 years ago and it was one shot only (no do-overs). Focus on giving a thoughtful answer that addresses the prompt + your logic. GS values integrity, escalating to peers/managers in times of crisis/uncertainty, and having a broader perspective on your actions (who will this effect, how will this effect them, how can I minimize damage to the firm, etc.)
Happy to help. Would also note that GS looks for people who are driven not just to learn but to overcome and learn from failure, too. Best wishes for your interviews!
Look up the how to guides for recorded interviews - they use some kind of software to do an initial screen before anyone actually looks at the video, and from my understand it analyses thing like eye tracking and body language. You’ll want to make sure you check all the boxes to get pst that initial screen
For some of these recorded interviews, sometimes they let you get 2 attempts. As a hack, what I did was use the first attempt as preparation (take notes, gather your thoughts, time your answer), then utilize the 2nd attempt to actually answer.
Sweet - good to know
-Peruse Glassdoor for insight
-Write your talking points and recite thoroughly so that you have some flow & instilled confidence
-use the transparent notes app to help during interviews
